We’re calling this match “The Daisy Cup.” Still love Daisy and hoping one day she’ll come home to us…

But in the meantime, we’ll smash her eagles to pieces on Sunday 😁

PS the usual snags in bread will be on offer in the Demon Army tent. As always, I’m the till b!ttchh or as normal people say, the cashier. The DA OGs tell me I’m on the till coz I’m very good at it but I know it’s really because folks don’t like their snags burnt beyond recognition so the grill is a no-go zone 😅

It would be great to see lots of fans rock up. The usual activations and activities for kids and giveaways will be available. And most importantly you’ll get to see our powerhouse team in action 👊🏼

PLEASE come if you can!

Forgot to beg folks to come to the game

Great news. Gilliard and Goldy selected to play

Johnson and Rigoni make way.

Rigoni showed enough to more than justify her list spot. hopefully she can push on and nail down a spot in the first team

Avg. games experience of teams as selected:

Melbourne: 43.6

West Coast: 31.8

Both Melbourne and West Coast have scored 12 goals total in final quarters so far in 2025. The Eagles came home strongly to beat St Kilda and Port with a duo of impressive 5-goal bursts.

In fact, West Coast has scored almost half of their total goals for the season in fourth quarters.

West Coast's win % pre-Daisy: 17.8% (8 wins from 45 games)

West Coast's win % post-Daisy: 37.5% (6/16)

And a big congratulations to Eliza McNamara in her 50th game!

A special 🤛 for her with Paxy, then!😊

❤️💙 GAMEDAY! ❤️💙

A win today should see us jump above the Hawks and back up to second on the ladder. We don’t want too big a gap between us and North. The welcome return of Goldie and Tahls will bolster the side. Look out, Daisy… your eagles will be plucked!

The mighty Dees by a nuggety little Eliza Mac (22 pts) 🥳

Last begging attempt…

PLEASE, if you can, please come out to Casey Fields today to watch the mighty Dees take down the eagles.

Bring the kidlets, there’s plenty for them to do there (besides watching a formidable team playing some great footy). If you don’t have any kids, borrow someone else’s (be sure to get permission first otherwise it’s called kidnapping). Get ‘em off their devices for the day! Fresh air and fun is there for the taking.

Not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it before (😁) but the Demon Army cook the most delish snags and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

COME AND SUPPORT OUR DEES!!!

Libby Birch on special comms. i thought she was persona non grata around Casey

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
