Actually an interesting question. Do Melbourne supporters prefer being miserable or euphoric?

Release the numbers Andy!

You should have started the podcast and then abruptly cut it of three quarters of the way through.

Or alternatively be OK for three quarters of the show before falling in a complete heap for the last quarter....

('tell me Andy, do you think we should take the opportunity to change our allegiance to the Tassie Devils - I mean Demons to Devils is not such a big idealogical or conceptual leap, and there's a certain synergy in swapping support from the oldest football club in the world to the newest')

One and a half hours of the best footy analysis you will find.

Then half an hour of Kenny G.

I know this is going to be unpopular given current hate of the pies...which I have myself have ...but I cant help but spare a thought for the pie supporters after the 70 GF. We lost this inconsequental game to a fellow cellar dweller with nothing on the line but pride . Given the pain of this ....Imagine if that was a GF. Silver linings I guess.

Isn’t cancelling the podcast a bit like the club not reviewing the finals loss to WC 5 or 6 years ago? Maybe there’s more to discuss/learn from these occasions, when you have the courage to face reality.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
