fullarton really does give the vibe of a basketballer who is tall and so can be a professional afl player earning more dollarydoos - he just doesn't have the 'feel' for the game

Is Jefferson playing well in general? any contested marks?

gets his marks on the lead as a rule, so can obviously get separation from his man

3 free kick goals inflating his game?

no, cos he's earned every one by working hard to get to the 'right' spot and being impeded by his man

Culley quality play again.

Paddy Cross free goal.

Margin out to 33 points.

Riley Baldi junk yard dog.

Tholstrup improving touch lovely releasing HB.

Coast to coast Casey.

Noah Yze showtime outside of the boot.

culley's height makes him a genuine marking weapon as a mid who moves around the ground

jvr misses one he had more time to run in to the 50 and nail

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZE nails one from the pack with a big left foot snap from probably 40m out

Blake Howes goal of the day!

mentha has a lot of confidence and is prepared to take his man on - bodes well for the future if he can really build his fitness base; he doesn't appear to be overly quick but reads the play well

wow that was nice - slick handball moves thru the centre and then howes to billings back to howes to run into an open goal

6 goals 1 to a solitary point this quarter

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
