WHERE ARE THE DEMONS?

Recommended Posts

:lol::lol::lol:

Pretty sure that's meant to be Richmond supporters not players. Funniest thing I've read all morning though...

Agree, I upset a few Tiges supporters at work with that one yesterday. Funny stuff.

I think the club would agree this is an issue of concern hence their entry into the chinese market. in a country of a 1 billion people even if we can only get 0.1% to spend $10 a year on MFC related products, my maths is crap, but I am pretty sure that would be a heck of a lot of money.

However I doubt a poll with questions such as have you shopped at forges or been reamed by a large bearded man wearing leather chaps with the arse cut out would be the advice triggering MFC's move into china

We definitely went Broady Deanox. I think the Govt were one step beyond & shifted the posts on us with the gaming boundaries.

J.A era if I recall.

fair nough...we havnt had much luck. its all about spending money to make money. at the mome we dont have any to spend, but i believe that with the current administration, once we clear the debt we will very quickly become profitable, especially if we keep getting a leg up from the afl. once we are in a position to invest and make our own money we will be much better off. we will have our home, and money in the bank. a 300 game champion (finally), and hopefully a premiership next year ;)

These polls aren't completely accurate imho. I'll use Sydney as an example, the polls say that Sydney have over 1.7 million fans, but let's face it, the vast majority will never even go to a game and definitely not buy a membership. It's the same as saying I follow Melbourne Storm, but I don't support them as I have no interest in going to a game, I'm just pleased when they win.

Our membership has increased this year, and that's a better indication imo.

We are [censored] all over Sydney then.

If they have over 1.7 million supporters, and a membership of 40,000 ( I have no idea if this is correct but it will do for the argument) then they are are only converting 2.3% of supporters to members.

Wereas MFC has 212,000 supporters and 28,000 members, we convert 13.2% of our supporters to members. So who's doing the better job in getting members on board?

Good question Smithee but as Deanox said I doubt they would have purchased had they known a pokie license was not possible. Having said that the laws change all the time and if they re-apply in 6 months it will probably be granted.

Also what are you trying to say? People in Broady are 70% more likely to admit that have been reamed by a large bearded man in arseless chaps??? :P

No kiddin' Spirit. And if you add to that the 15-20K MCC members that follow the demons our % would increase by another 30 to 40%.

IMHO the facts suggest this survey is worthless. Bloody funny though

Today's Herald Sun reports that, in spite of the fact that Melbourne made the finals in 2005 and 2006 it is losing supporters at an alarming rate - Demon fans drop off bandwagon.

This is distressing news for the club at a time where our first half year performance is at its worst in the past decade and it comes on top of reports that the club will not reach budget figures.

Without doubt, the Board needs to sit down and seek some answers as to why this is happening. I'd be getting some independent expert advice but my guess is that it might have something to do with the fact that many supporters have been turned off by the "let down" factor which has been such a feature of the club's on field performance over the years.

Not half as "distressing" as it is for those of us who have supported the club for 50+ years to see the sort of insipid pathetic "performance" that the entire club - players, selectors, and coaching staff - have given us tonight.

Question for the board: "why should we turn up to watch the garbage served up by this rabble"?????????

It is disheartening for those of us who truly beleived that we would make the grade 2007.

We have been severaly let down by everyone at the club - coach, selectors and senior players......

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
