Article in HUN today saying Paul G spoke yesterday about the financial impact of poor games and injuries early in 2007.

This situation is more real than excuse used over last few weeks that played 3 interstate games ( e.g Freo) which traditionally get low attendances. many MFC members missing in reserved seats etc for several weeks now.

Reality is that attendances were below expectations.

Impossible to recover with only one more home game at the G this year - and that being round 22!.

Looks like the plan was to load the front end for MFC with games at the G to get maximum pressure on more members to sign up by 30 June. Nice deal and incentive if team goes well but in 2007 looks like back firing as even if the team goes gangbusters in 2nd half of this year & wins 7 plus of remaining games will not have big positive impct financially for MFC.

Does the crowd matter to us in terms of financials? I thought we got a flat rate. Do we get more on top of this?

I was under the impression we were going to profit this year, as they budgeted for low crowds for the Freo and Port games, and apparently we budgeted for 56,000 on the QB and got 70,000+. Am I wrong here?
