Added reserves side

all 6 players in their forward line for coburg play for richmond, as does their centre line, and 1/2 their backline, as well as their rover

im sure the coburg footy club must love this arrangement, their players would be [censored] off

Sandy will kick 30 goals

HF - Poyas Miller Dunn

F - Yze Sautner Newton

how does wheels not walk into the senior team? what in the world? surely you give him the day off and a week break in between before the next game. if he plays i will be eternally bewildered.

but why play him this weekend then? you reckon he'll just play off the bench a bit?

haha watch out for your leg brown lol

To this very day, I still gag when I think of that moment.

never played again didn't he? what happened with his lawsuit?

Jeez that's a tall forward line...

wish it was being played as a curtain raiser...

wow kingsley didnt last long in the tigers side

no doubt he'll be back up to play against us. he always rips us a new one...actually i found this page

kent kingsly stats

he averages 2.7 goals a game against us, career average is 1.9, the only team he kicks more against is essendon (3.1).

he doesnt get picked much for the tiges considering he has played 124 games for 238 goals...thats not a bad record really...

im not arguing with you there it seems like a lot but thats only 13 of their 22 (not sure if any bench players are afl). 9 of the sandy 18 are melb listed players and 8 of the 12 interchange are melb listed. sandy only ever plays 12 melb listed because thats all it can do it the finals. 13 isnt really that much more is it?

i reckon given he has been having soft tissue injuries they will bring him back with half a game. also we won last week and our backline was pretty good. id be dissapointed if players who played well just got dropped. that being said, if he was 100% fit and ready to play 100% of the game he would be straight in.

wish it was being played as a curtain raiser...

even if it wasnt a curtain raiser if it started at 11 so we could get down and watch it first, or even play it on sunday...

Matty Whelan on Nathan Brown in the VFL :o

Never thought I'd see that

Nathan Brown will probably be thinking bloody hell now I have to face him in the two's. Hopefully wheels gets through the game and can come straight back in the team.

I think that's an excellent selection bringing Matty Whelan back through Sandringham. How long is it since he actually got through an entire game without being injured? Has he ever played an entire finals match for us, let alone a finals series. He's must be very, very unlucky with injuries ...

Reserves side (thanks to Ray S on 'ology):

B Dean Gribbin Collyer

HB Monaghan McGettigan Weetra

C Bode Paterakis Neville

HF Zarra McKenzie T. Johnston

F Martyn Dunne Hayes

R Ott Gilchrist M. Johnston

Int Tregear Gileno Turcarelli Paule Henry Gibb Liddell

Nice to see Isaac Weetra back. Hopefully the kid can have a bit of luck go his way, and hopefully soon push for senior selection at Sandringham.

with neville inability to consistently break into the senior sandy squad, hed almost certainly have to be delisted at years end...seems he just cant crack it unforuntately...

bode is gawwwnn as well but he's only a rookie

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
