Anti sausage roll propaganda.
Itโ€™s Un-Australian, and I wonโ€™t stand for it.

It's a tough call on the humble snag roll, agreed. I once lived near a great bakery that made huge phlegm sandwiches (vanilla slices) really well - after a year of having a couple each week, I stopped this treat and lost nearly eight kilos within 5 months. Diet does seem to be important, heh?

Sounds like depression to me mate.ย  You need more sugary treats to cheer you up.ย ย

An alternative origin of your 'Nom de D'land', Bin?

I'm thinking youย didย get the allusion, Bin, but, just in case...

An allusion directed at me by my parents in my dietarily carefree youth.

Insert yummy foodstuffs.

You're obviously from Geelong.

Saints have snapped up Norwood's grand final / premiership BOG, Harry Boyd, who I, and others, promoted on here.

I'm thinking - or at least hoping - we've now upgraded on that prospect with AJ.

Prove me right, Aidan!ย ๐Ÿ˜„

Boyd will be a good backup ruckman for the Saints.ย  AJ brought in for a different role, one which should free up JvR which will be integral to our 2025 campaign.ย

I think (am hoping) AJ the better jigsaw piece even if he may not be the better player of the 2.ย

Agreed. Boyd looks like his only position will be first ruck and he is very undersized for that at 198cm. We've got Campbell as our back up ruck, who I think is the better option for the short term.

Johnson was brought in to play as a forward who pinch hits in the ruck.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert. ย This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coachโ€™s showdownย pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% winย rate)ย againstย hisย protรฉgรฉ Daisy Pearce (16ย games,ย 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisyโ€™s record doesnโ€™t yet reflect her impact โ€” but sheโ€™s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Daisโ€™ย isย mythic. ย Likeย Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill herย (sporting metaphor) orย be her. ย Toothersย Daisy Pearceย isย a role model,ย someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chancesโ€”plenty of themโ€”but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Portโ€™s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
