Questions From Afar.

Featured Replies

Please forgive my ignorance, but living over here there are some things I don't understand.

1. Why don't the selectors pick Adam Tomlinson. Seems he is the most hardly done by player we've had for years.

2. What's happened to socks? We've gone from the red legs to the hairy legs! When did shin pads die! You can hardly see the red these days.

3. How does the utility work in Fantasy Football?

4.When can we get a list replacement for Angus Brayshaw?

Thanks in anticipation.

Thommo is hard done by. He has the occasional brain fade and i suspect that's why he is seen as a 'break glass in case of emergency' player

Once the AFL and the club sort out the salary cap repercussions of Angus’ forced retirement, the list place vacated can be filled in the mid season draft (if the club wants to pick someone).

The more interesting question is what happens in the case of the player currently under suspension pending completion of the investigation into the charges alleged against him?

What happens in the event of a player found guilty and suspended for a period beyond the end of his contract? Can the contract be terminated? What happens with his list place?

Note: these are hypothetical questions and are not related to a particular case.

The utility spot was introduced cause there's no point having a second bench spot for the ruck position. Now you get to chose another bench player from any position in the utility spot, one who is actually playing and making cash.

Let’s just stick with the hypothetical and not touch anything under investigation.

This is what happened when two Collingwood players were tested positive for a substance banned by WADA.

Great questions - not even 'she who must be obeyed' could possibly answer until the regulations to the AFL Act clarify in a timeframe greater than that of any player in history could survive onfield.

He is a solid mark and decent defender.

Not the fastest about but it's hard to break into a team with the players we have.

I would have picked him to play but at least the clubs being doing ok selection wise lately.

Feel a tad sorry for Tommo when he gets dropped after a decent game .

I don't know why they never trialled him fwd at Casey a year ago when the cupboard was well and truly empty.

The socks is and always was a choice. Apart from ruckmen, no one wears shin pads as they would in soccer (and most of them only wear one). So the socks up was just fashion.

Mind you I note the premier league players have replaced theirs with stamp size bits of plastic 😂😂

He didn't finish cleaning Goody's spa when he was supposed to. Also he was asked to put the lawn clippings on the rose garden but he went and put them into the green waste bin instead. Goody was furious.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
