Hi all, in 2021 I was able to pre-purchase GF tickets (had to sell them cos, you know, Perth) well before we looked like getting in.  I just can’t recall how I was able to buy them - but I’m willing to take a punt again.  It was tied to my membership??

we also had 2 weeks from when we got in to when the game was played that year.  Depending on your membership level you just got an e-mail saying which level ticket you wanted.  i think there is a ballot too.

Sorry I can't help but I just wanted to say that I love your optimism.

Wouldn't a Dees v Pies gf be fantastic with a flag finally won at the G.

Are you talking about adding a grand final guarantee to your membership? No way to "pre-purchase" through a membership. The only way that is possible is buying one of the AFL hospitality packages for the grand final (starts at about $1.2K)

There is the Grand Final Guarantee add-on that gives you the right to buy a ticket for the GF if your team makes it, but not sure if these are still available as I can't see them online anymore

Depends on what type of membership you have.

Regular Melbourne members (excluding AFL members, MCC members and 3 game members) can add a GFG to their membership. It costs $295 but would likely have already been sold out.

This is separate to Legends, Tridents, Redlegs and Demon Seats Plus members who already have the GFG in their membership

The only Grand Final guarantee seats left by round 1 was a few reserved seats. If you’re interested in getting one I’d contact the club. There seems to be a few left around us. The membership folks are super helpful, and have all the info in front of them - so can give you the best advice. If you are nice and explain what you want they’ll go out of their way to help.

As an aside we sat in our regular reserved seats on the weekend, even though it was an away game. My mum is a chancer and tried on her old lady ‘oh hello dear, we usually sit here…’ routine, and the bloke on the gate fell for it and let us in!

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
