Swung by training yesterday at 3pm for the session and her where some observations:

-The group seemed in great spirits but focused.

-The session was fairly light with a lot of short tactical drills used.

-Brad Green walked perhaps 10 laps then headed inside

-Neitz participated for about 45 minutes but was running about 60% speed/capacity. He didn't pull up proppy but seemed at times to be messaging his knee with his hand every no and then. Should be right for Port Adelaide though.

-Rivers, Moloney and Johnstone all looked fit as a fiddle.

-Petterd trained FANTASTICALLY. Wanted to get into everything and anything.

-Garland is raw but lead well against Warnock, marked well and has a sizeable and accurate kick.

-Buckley too got involved-looks great and is physically strong and quick but needs to work on his kicking and awareness of play.

-Byron will get better with every week.

-Jared Rivers seemed in fantastic spirits toi the point where it was infectious on everyone.

-As it stated in the Herald Sun this morning, the boys did a group huddle in the centre square just before they started the session, screaming out numbers as they ran on the spot.

-Whelan and Jones did not show at all.

That's about all I can remember. If anyone has any questions i'll do my best to answer.

Also forgot Sylvia looked fantastic. In Several drills they played him at full forward and he looked super fit-quick of the lead and great marking. Across the whole session though he looked 100%

HIS TIME IS NOW.

Also forgot to say that Lynden Dunn aslo trained really well. The forward skill sets they were doing all revolved around him and my word, he looked a ripper.

Strong overhead, didn't drop a mark, every kick and handball hit its target.

He had a steely resolve, like he knows he will play every game this season.

And I hope he does.

Thanks MFC......

That information is great to read :) !!!

Ditto. Dunn should only get better with experience at AFL level, so the quicker we can get games into him the better.

did you see the opening minute of last sundays game occo??

davey got the ball in the centra square, and kicked a goal from there!!

if he and yze swap between the flank and the pocket, they can both create goals from either distance

Good news regarding Sylvia. Hopefully he can string some games together and show us all what he made of :D

Also great to hear Rivers in good spirits. Him, TJ and Moloney will all be very valuable inclusions back into the side. Petterd getting amongst it. Good luck to the youngster this weekend.

Any idea what they are doing here? I am intrigued.

You're a champ MFC4Life, it's just so good to hear positives like this when the club are suffering like they are at the moment. :D

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
