Hi everyone!  In the long wait to finals I've been doing a few sketches while rewatching some games.  Nothing too fancy given this is just in between work.

I'll drop them here from time to time.  Will take suggestions for players too!

Nice work! Is that the winner against Carlton?

Love it, DP!
Personally I tend to like the ‘lesser lights’ (for want of a better term). Maybe JJ or Melksy or Nibbler would be good. ❤️💙

Here's one I've prepared earlier of JJ at training!

Like your style mate! Are you much of an ink sketcher? I'm pretty amature but did the Inktober challenge last year and triued sketching a few of our iconic premiership photos!

Thanks Layzie!  I'd love to see your inks of the premiership photos if you feel comfortable sharing in this thread!

I've also done a few inktobers but I'm also pretty amateur on that front.  More likely to get out the gouache paints

GET CLARRY "CHOO CHOO" IN !

Lurve em all!🤩

Thanks Deelightful! Will try and get some happening!

I request an angry/determined looking Viney

and maybe family man Jack too. That video of him with his daughter on the MFC website is lovely. He said the only time she cried at the club was when she saw Clarrys face! Lol

Here's a tiny Viney to start your day!  Drawn back in the game against the Cats...

There's a great tackle in progress shot that I'm eyeing off.  More firey Jack rather than family Jack haha  That video was very endearing!

Clarry and Melky next on the list when work gives me a chance to breathe, for those who asked!

Ooh this looks like an ink job! Good detail on the trademark Viney guns!

Thanks for the tiny Viney!

he looks like he is about to kick on his right and is then somewhat confused. Hope he doesn’t take on the tackler and get caught. Nah actually I think he went the safe handball.

sorry went into ‘what happens next mode’

Your 'what happens next' mode seems quite accurate, DubDee!  This was from a moment in the Cats (🤮) game earlier in the season, think it was a handball haha

Here's a serious Clarry!  Fresh off the presses (but file size means the quality is a bit naff)

Work can wait… this is much more important! 😜

If you post a sketch of Melksy ima print it out and put it up on my pantry wall where all the best pics go. ❤️💙

Wow, good thing I've got a flight to Melb to make something a little fancy for you!

Best one yet.  Face and hair I would guess are the hardest and you've nailed it.  How much has Picket offered you for it??!!

If you did one with Clarry on a Choo Choo train, he might lose it altogether!

Here's my tribute to Trac on his 150th, I started out painting the whole team but it became way too big of a project...

Great effort! Paint is not a medium I know anything about but really respect people that do!

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
