WCW your posts are normally so good and quite funny and then you go and blow all your good work by fessing up a few times on Demonland that Carlton are your second team 🤮. I just don’t know how anybody can have that arrogant club as their second team, my sister and niece are fanatical Carlton supporters and I still hate that Club. But each to their own, keep up the good work.

Uhm… Thanks ?

Believe me… I wanna hate Carlton, I really do. I’ve tried so hard for so long to hate them, but it’s just not happening.

I picked Freo but only because I don't consider the Saints a realistic option.

I'd love to see the Saints win - yeah their long suffering supporters deserve to see some success but really it's just so Carlton have the longest premiership drought.

If anyone votes Geelong they deserve a ban

Beating them three times last year was certainly up there with the most satisfying moments as a Melbourne supporter.

The question states if NOT Melbourne.

Commit to a second team, BBO!

Or at least name the team who are at #17 on the list of teams you hate.

Just think of the former Carlton President, will be easy...

I can’t select another team.

I threw up in my mouth a few times looking down the list

I don't think I could handle the build up to that game. Of all the teams, I would hate losing the GF to them most of all. My heart would give out before the first bounce

Yeah it's a curly one, I would be in the same boat in terms of stress, but watching Eddie if they are losing would give millions of Australians true joy.

Waiting for better odds than $3.75!

It’s dead simple to Hate Carlscum

You obviously never went to Princes Park or saw Greg Wells win a Flag with them

I don't really care who wins the premiership. Question should be , who you don't want to win it... For me I don't want to see a Carlton, Richmond or Collingwood premiership. IMO the only one with real chances from those 3 is Richmond.

Freo.

Defence wins premierships and they've got it in spades.

Sky's the limit.

On the contrary, SWYL. I went to Princes Park every second Saturday for more than two decades. In fact, I went to every single Carlton H&A match for more than two decades (except Windy Hill coz I like to get home in one piece). I attended countless Carlton finals and three Carlton Grand Finals.

In that time, I only ever saw Melbourne play twice a year, and only coz it was vs. Carlton.

It’s a long and complicated story and I’ve told it on DL before, but I was a closet Melbourne supporter until 2000.  I came out as a Demon when my Diehard Carlton fanatic brother passed away.

To this day I periodically make a point of trying really hard to hate them but it’s futile.
But I’ll not give up. I shall forge on! On a wing and a prayer… whatever that means

Looks like about 50% support for Freo and some love for St Kilda, Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Nobody has voted for Collingwood or Richmond which is heartening.  Those outliers who have nominated Carlton and Geelong should be thankful that their vote is anonymous.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
