Daisy.

I am glad that you raised this.

Have tried to find which players have missed with Covid protocols  - as I recall they include BBB Jackson ?Tracc  all of whom have been well below par.

So instead of slanging off at our players for being “duds” maybe some can try to think a bit deeper. And of course maybe those of us who think the Eagles are tanking could reconsider that many of them also were out with covid related issues.

Haven’t had covid (yet) but it took me 6 weeks to get back to 100% from the current flu. Absolutely flawed me.

So it’s not surprising that Tracc needs time to get back to full health considering he apparently had it.

He has an injured foot. His 1-1 numbers are good but the fact that he has had so many 1-1s is a problem. Teams have figured us out a bit and keeping Jake ‘honest’ and it is leaving others exposed.

Or are we just undermanned and haven’t really had our backline together all year?

That too.

I feel for Hunt, he was exposed at the time we had an injured-yet-playing Lever and Petty, Salem coming back from injury, and May missing through concussion and idiocy.

Our backline is getting there I hope. If we get close to top 2 it is on the back line’s coattails.

His marking game is off the boil at the moment. Come to think of it, none of them have been able to catch the thing in a contest last 4 weeks. How do they all lose that ability simultaneously??

I would like to know the answer to this too. Why are we getting outmarked all around the ground (or am I just imagining that?)

Yeah this cold I've had for nearly 3 weeks and only just starting to improve. Everything is multiplied in terms of recovery at the moment.

Oh yeah, floored, haha

Freudian slip on my part I reckon

mentioned on radio that there is concern that some afl players could be suffering from effects of long covid

long covid can have extreme effects but is in fact a spectrum of effects where it may not be noticeable as such but is enough to affect elite performance and appear as just a form slump

just putting it out there

Fatigue and sustained high performance are definitely an issue. There's the elephant in the room with regards to hypertension and high heartrates in otherwise healthy young people after having had the vaccine AND caught COVID. Under-reported on but definitely present.
