We can agree to disagree.  An interesting stat is in the 3rd qtr we kicked 0.1 from 3 inside 50s up to that stoppage, and 7.1 from 9 inside 50s after it.  I don’t think there will ever be a performance like that in a GF again.

Watson, I think we can definitely both agree that the scoring after that stoppage was bloody amazing.

Caleb Daniel will still cop it on Wednesday night from Dees fans, as he should.

The wannabe standover pose he did deserves a Boo, and was the only dark side of a game played in great spirit by both sides.

Reckon he just gave him a spray for taking the dive myself but hey .... Boo away.

More tears.

Dog wakes up and looks up from the end of the bed, with a look of “seriously?”

only a Demon tragic can understand

Yep, I'm tragic

If Max tossed Daniels there would have been an outcry! Students of Mad Monday may recall the ignominy of a Tigers end of season event that created a media storm in the HUN teacup. The PC takeout?  Vertically challenged tossing ist verboten.Giant tossing? New season starts Wednesday 16th March. Gussies’ twin is salivating…looney tunes revenge GIF

I reckon Jason Taylor would have been remembering the similar highlight he showed the coaches when talking about him pre-draft that Goody and Richo both loved.

Looking at the above vision again, I think Kossie was just 'a little' more subtle in the Trac GF goal play, although the intent and effectiveness were just as good.

That was more like the NFL Films version and had Goodwin mic’d up like in the NFL. That was great.

And not that I read too much into Roffey and Goodwin exchanging congratulations but she referred to the start of the year and where ‘we could have been’ and I, again, thanks god that we have a strong board and specifically this strong woman to get rid of the cancer before it destroyed this man and this team and pushed this club off course.

Agree .... Would love to see our version of "Americas Game" for 2021.
My favourite is 1981 San Francisco 49ers.
Reminds me of us.

I do agree that Max's momentum was a key factor rather than Daniel slinging him. I don't Boo but do love the theatre of it. On Wednesday night it will be as predictable as the sun coming up on Thursday morning.

Its been a thing since they invented Punch and Judy in the 1600's.

Make no mistake.
I boo my heart out.
Goodwin wants our home ground to be a hostile environment.
I try to help him out.

Sorry, you can't bounce your head like that deliberately.   So I assume you are saying because he overplayed the preceding actions he lost control and it was entirely his fault his head bounced?   I find that hard ot believe,

Have you never watched professional wrestling before? That bounce your own head on the canvas move is their stock in trade.

I haven't watched the replay in a while, so when I caught this yesterday I definitely cried a bit. Very emotional still. It actually gets sweeter and sweeter the more time passes.

Let's hope we can make some similar memories this year.

Conversely Kossie's magic body use to clear a path for Trac that starts up the BANG BANG BANG isn't spoken of enough.  It's almost as impressive as the Trac goal in my view.  A masterful football moment from Kossie.

Glad you noted that as I thought that bump was massive at the time. I've watched that vision numerous times and it could have been possible that Trac could have been nudged slightly and not made that crazy goal

Pickett just hits so damn hard with the way he uses his shoulders.  Different to his uncle from memory but no less brutal in the way he goes about it.

I would have been terrified of playing against his uncle though, Byron was like a block of granite

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. 2024 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress. SLIP SLIDING AWAY by Meggs

It was a sweaty, slippery night at Cazalys Stadium, a tough slog with low scoring and missed opportunities.  The Hokball Hawks hung on to win by a goal and sit second on the ladder, relegating the disappointed Demons to, almost certainly, finals spectators.   We had to win this match. When news broke of late withdrawals of talisman Kate Hore and key back Gaby Colvin, expectations plummeted, and Demon fans despaired.  The bad news was the signature song of 2024, a season that’s
