Muted response it seems, D'land.

Here's hoping 2022 delivers an ability to engage again with the Casey Dees and their exploits. Missed the localness and the dynamic it provided with 'the ones'.

    James Munro is becoming a cult figure at Casey.

    The club's following in the footsteps of the AFL affiliate in many ways. I can see it continuing to field strong sides in the competition which hopefully will be restructured in 2022 so that it returns to the status of a Victorian league with perhaps Tasmania, Sydney and GWS at most from outside the state.

    Between the adding of random interstate teams that meant you weren't supposed to play every team once, byes randomly dotted through the fixture, COVID issues, and a team pulling out at the end of the season, this could be one of the most shambolic seasons of any state-sized sporting competition ever in Australia - and think about the ground that covers.

The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
