Shot For Goal Accuracy 2021

Featured Replies

We need to lift this area before the finals.  Need be 49% or above to ensure a bad kicking game doesn’t lose us a final.

We take a lot of shots from the pockets, it is how we play the game. It would be nice to have a higher goal kicking percentage but then we are 10-1 so it isn’t killing us either.

Percentage also counts in contest for positions in the eight.

Percentage has hurt us in the past and could again. Let's not be comfortable with wins only.

Not killing us but 15.6 Adelaide to 14.11 Dees did lose us that game.

T Mac and Fritsch have combined for 45 goals and 22 behinds at 67%

Shows how poor the rest have been and how well these two are doing

I reckon it’s improved as the season has gone on.

Our first 2 weeks were diabolical in this department.

I’ve felt that as well, still missing the odd howler but they do seem a lot better now. TMac would be my choice for kick after the siren.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
