Yeah, that would work actually. Good call.

In addition to having the tank and making good decisions, nibbler role is very similar to langdons, in so far as it involves lots of defensive running between the arcs, much it near the boundary.

In that scenario JJ stays in the middle and Captain Jack takes nibbler's role -  a position he has played so is familiar with.

Minimal change and captain Jack is not thrown to tbe wolves first up against a super midfield.

Whoever says Capt Jack doesn't listen to the Injury reports !!!

I would run ANB on Langdons' wing

Knows the system has the tank and is making good decisions at the moment

Harmes on Neal and let them try to tag our best

Nothing new but surely (among other assets) a winger needs to be capable of intercepting in the air as well as the legs to manage the gut run going both ways.

ANB has the latter but not sure about the former?

I'm not sure Sparrow was the right call to replace Lingers if they are looking to play him there either.

Hoping i'm wrong but reckon we will probably struggle tonight.

I totally agree with you. My thoughts have also been to play ANB on the wing in place of Langdon. Would have worried me last year but his form and composure seems so much more assured this year.

If it works, we have another dimension to work with. If not welcome back Langdon and ANB back to the flank.

i hope not

terrible way to 'play' your debut game, particularly if he doesn't get on the field

But the alternative is a player you're outperforming in the VFL/praccies, getting selected as sub ahead of you, just because they've already debuted and you haven't? It's not ideal to debut as sub, but is not playing seniors an improvement?

Great test tonight, not only because it’s Brisbane who are in form but for the the first time this season for us back to back perceived difficult opponents. I’ve asked myself a few times had we beaten Adelaide would we have the same result last Friday night. I’d like to think it would have, we came switched on when we had to against Geelong, Richmond and the Swans but those games were spaced against easier opponents.

I think a win is highly probable and what I find interesting is that we’re still not settled on our key forwards.
