The ridiculous over the top reaction to Weideman’s first game back from injury is so unnecessary. It’s one quiet game after a layoff in bog ordinary conditions where delivery to the forward line was poor. He was a 2-goal-per-game forward last year until right near the end of the season. This six year wait nonsense seems to completely overlook his most recent body of work.

And the irony of the same posters banging in about Weideman also suggesting Majak might be the second coming of Wayne Carey is so hilarious.

I’d rather Weid out on the G than Majak any day. Give him a couple of weeks to settle back in.

Yeah nah no one has actually suggested that at all..

People saying these criticisms are not just basing them on yesterday's game, don't people get that.

other than one game he has never dominated at VFL level so he's no star.

The real question is whether he is useful to team structure and he doesn't show that either.

With Jackson and BB fit (plus the enigma of T Mac) he's behind the proverbial 8 ball.
