It would be beneficial to the Club if the marketing department read about the concerns expressed by members on Demonland.

They're all for the men's team, there's no junior memberships for the AFLW team

Yeah, I've always found that strange. For comparison, this year, 12 of the 14 AFLW teams have a junior membership. Most other clubs also offer a few tiers of adult membership for AFLW, whereas MFC only offer one priced at $99 (among the most expensive). Personally, I'm happy to pay to the support the girls and don't care much about merchandise or whatever in return, but our options are really lacking in this compared to other clubs.

I received a scarf before Christmas, that's it, just a scarf. No membership letter, no membership card with the personalised player I'd chosen, no lanyard, no stickers, no fridge magnet with the draw on it. Just a single scarf. Rang the club and they had no explanation.

So after 5 weeks since I called and said that I only got the scarf and not the personalised membership card I'd paid for I received my replacement pack.

This time I got another scarf AND a lanyard. That's all, still no membership card

I paid for my overseas membership in October and soon after received the confirmation e-mail.  However - like every other year - I am locked out of the watchafl app. I have written to them to restore access, but haven’t had a response yet.

Hi Fanatique :)   I'm hoping you or some kind Demonlander will advise how to get my watchafl working this year please?  The club are useless so far.

I renewed international membership March 7 and finally got my voucher code 7 hours ago (after only sending 3 emails, waiting an hour on hold to get no-one, missing the dogs game etc. etc.).

Some options say the voucher isn't valid, another says it's already used, but still no watchafl for yours truly.
I'm normally decent with websites, but this MFC one is full of catch 22's and inadequate navigational options, at least regarding this.

Thanks very much

Hey Rob. I’m no expert, but hope I can help.

You’ll need the voucher  code, for sure.

Have you tried clearing your cache? If, after that, it still doesn’t work, try using a different browser or a different device.
Good luck.

Yes I tried everything a hundred ways and times without success thanks very much Fanatique. Stayed up till 6am trying.
Got up the next day, did it again and it worked!?!?!?    Wheee.
Piece of cake!  Only took hours and 11 days, 3 emails and phone calls for MFC to send the voucher code too. ?

Glad you have it sorted in time for tomorrow’s game. It will be at 3:45 am for me. I’ll avoid all news until I watch it, starting around 8:00am

Thanks. Hope you enjoy it and we win.  It's at 7.45pm here.

UPDATE. It's taken almost 4 months. Countless unanswered calls, half a dozen callback requests that never came through, emails, tweets, pm's via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and I finally received my membership card with the player I paid for on it. Crikey what a ride!

Probably. With us winning games now I  need something else to be disappointed about

Interesting based on my experiences over the last 20 years with numerous sporting and other companies I find most over promise and under deliver. I take the basic service in the knowledge that most of the time this works. The more items outside the normal the less chance you have of receiving what you want. The service is usually handled by an outside contractor who are “ all care and no responsibility”  Good luck in the future Red.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.
