Only 8 entrants in the biggest event on grand final day and not a Demon in sight.

This is yet another AFL staple that deserves an asterisk next to it -

Statement: Runners revealed for 2020 Colgate Grand Final Sprint

maybe they could race the length of the transplanted mcg turf

would add more context

  • Demonland changed the title to Grand Final Sprint

One of the most irrelevant items on the GF day programme. 16 of the 18 teams are on holidays with 8 teams into their 4 week of holidays. Probably leaves about 3- 4 players who are still fit.

Sad thing is I don't think there is one player in the side who would come close to winning the sprint

Hunt went in the sprint a few years ago and didn't come close to winning, pickett quick over 20m but would struggle in an 100m sprint

Probably wrong but I actually though Hunt came third when he ran.

Will need to run in gumboots tonight.

Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
