West Coast have to be the best club going around.

Winning flags on field, while their off-field activities sound like a ball!

I find it very hard to believe that he'd be suspended indefinitely for just missing training. I guess we'll find out in roughly 41 minutes.

The West Coast Eagles have today suspended Ben Cousins indefinitely after he failed to attend training yesterday.

Ben has failed to fulfill his commitments as a professional member of the West Coast Eagles team to such a degree that his current situation is untenable. When Ben has addressed his ability to commit to the required level, his situation will be reviewed.

It is with great sadness and regret that the club has been forced to take this action against a much-loved champion who has served this club with great distinction for more than a decade.

Chairman Dalton Gooding will be available for comment this morning at 10.15am outside the players' entrance at Subiaco Oval.

heard on SEN

apparenlty he didn't turn up for 9-30am training. Still wasn't there at 10am so they sent someone to pick him up and bring him down to the club. They asked him why he was late and he said, "mind your own business."

Final straw i think.

Mail is that he also missed the sunday am session after celebrating Braun's engagement the previous night. He found time however to attend the Guernsey Presentation later in the day. This is a fair lack of committment and indicates his interests lie elsewhere.

West Coast has suspended former captain Ben Cousins indefinitely.

The Brownlow Medallist has been suspended for breaking team rules after missing a weights session on Sunday morning, chairman Dalton Gooding confirmed today.

"Ben has a number of very personal and private drug issues which the club is helping him to work through," Gooding said.

Gooding said the length of the suspension was not set, but could be as long as the entire season.

Throughout the suspension, Cousins will not be able to train at the club. This is a similar punishment to that handed out to Michael Gardiner last year before he was sacked by the club. Cousins will not be playing for his WAFL club, East Perth, this weekend.

Gees, that is a massive blow.

His stupidity may just cost West Coast another chance at a flag.

Although, I very much doubt he'll play the whole year in the WAFL. When it comes down to it, West Coast's first priority is winning games, and Cousins is one of their best players.

What a shame that his money, fame and good looks can't buy him some brain cells.

How very true

Does anyone think benny c looks like iceman from topgun on a unrelated matter??

I don't think it's wise to mention ice or any other related substance in the context of this discussion.

Let's move on ...

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
