If Weid had played from round 1 like he bloody should have then he would easily be winning our goal kicking.

Actually don't be surprised if he does. In good form.

I've been wondering if there's a little bit of Brayshaw of 2018 about his season. Out of the side until he genuinely earns his spot then comes in and plays his best footy

Hes third or fourth  in the AFL in goals per game.  if he had played all season he would be up there with the Coleman leaders.  Wouldn't that be something.

Its so awesome to see his improvement, theres nothing better than seeing a big young forward come into their own and start clunking marks and kicking goals.   He will snag 5 or 6 in a game very soon.

One thing we haven't seen is Petty and Weideman up forward. I rate Petty's body of work as a forward last year and if its one thing he has over Weid its his one touch grab.

Jackson, Petty, Weideman. A potential good forward line to build around.

Like what the Weid has bought since he has come back into the side.  Plenty of aggression, attack on the footy and is starting to look dangerous.

He's normally a very good set shot for goal which is one of his strengths, I just wish that he had nailed one of his multiple shots on goal against the Lions a few weeks back.  I think the wind down there at Carrara was a bit tricky, but if he's going to be a gun forward, kicking set shots with a bit of wind and/or under pressure needs to be bread and butter stuff.

Look forward to see where he can get to over the course of the rest of the season with some continuity and hopefully no more major injuries.

Heres hoping the pies dont lure him away in the future.

If he’s playing good consistent footy, the filth will have a crack when the opportunity arises.

You can back that in.

Every time Eddie mentions him he starts creaming over the Collingwood “heritage” !

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
