We can’t wait too long. Too many Rookie Coaches have tried their hand at this old Dinasour and failed, We need the best Coach in the Business

Game plans are only as good as the players who know it,  and can implement it;  otherwise it's hard to tell what its meant to be, or look like.

The point is,  it will never come together until the players individually, and as a team, can implement it.

 

Until we get to that point we cannot truly judge, especially as our main aim is introducing young first gamers, and new bloods, into our structure.

I think we saw a hint of it against the Blues 1st Qtr,  and again yesterday in the 2nd Qtr, when those teams didn't pressure us. Allowed us to play it.

 

Once we get more team time going, and find one another (as teammates),  I think it will show out more often.

I agree;  it's way to early to say much at all, so far.

May our football department have the same revelation.

 

 

With a bit of luck they can progress to the next stage, "effective" game plan.

We have no flexibility in our game plans.

"How a game of keeping off " cost the Dees, was the headline. I wonder if Goody didn't see it happening at the time or couldn't do anything about it.  Both a bit damning though. 

I wish we had a team that could adjust to the opposition's game plan.

A game plan isn't just what we bring, but how quickly we react to counter to the other. 

We are at the moment a "just about there" , kind of, nearly team.

I am hoping we can become an intelligent team that creates space, so our connections work and we play a mentally harder game

While we wait yet another year to see what happens our players get another year closer to retirement. How many good years do the likes of Gawn, TMac, Melksham, Hibberd, Jetta, May and Jones etc have left? How many more wasted years of development for Brayshaw, Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Weideman etc until it gets to the point where they have simply plateaued?

Every year counts. Every game counts. Every contest counts. That should be the mantra of our footy club.

I have heard this same crap for over 50 years and the same crowd were wrong then. The evidence shows this current lot have the same lack of Football I.Q.

We are not winning a flag with the current list under the current coach with the current game plan.
