This bloke is the most intriguing prospect on our list IMO. Decent chance he never plays a game, but could be absolutely anything.

Looks like a boy in the photo

Hopefully he can learn to play football.... seems crazy to say that about a player on an AFL list.

Now one swallow does make a summer but the games I saw him play last season suggested to me he has a very long way to go before he is a good VFL player let alone higher. IMO the kid needs another 2-3 years at Casey. Patience will be needed.

I have the same opinion as you. He looked way off and that was always meant to happen. I dont expect him to debut at all as he is still incredibly raw and light.

Still only 19, says himself, aim is for a year at Casey , Stafford has the opportunity to build a ruckman from the ground up, a very popular guy amongst the other guys, for his enthusiasm and attitude

To be fair that's pretty much the intended purpose of the Cat B rookie list. No doubt he's extremely raw and a very long way off, but has at least played some junior footy, and the potential upside is massive. Coming from a similar background, he can look to Stef Martin for inspiration (hopefully he sticks around if/ when he comes good though).

Beef him up and then he can come back for pre season having slimmed down by 7 kegs and be right

His father was a BIG man. Give him time, he will muscle up.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
