The video guy was a 'late' arrival, that is May at the end of 100 minute training session

MFC employees probably shouldn't be relying on our website for training times.

I appreciate it's not the thread, but I can't get any info on the progress of AvB.

Is he likely to front next Monday, even in the rehab group does anyone know?

May on track

Is the music playing in this clip actually being played at the session? Is there a PA/DJ situation at training these days?

Haven't seen him yet, and get nothing when I ask

Saty are you able to give a bit of a summary of how traning went?

They do a few warmups then they did this for nearly half an hour, two teams only using handball, caught, missed target or dropped ball, turnover

They hammered them

Then same thing but kicking only

Then individual skills, contested marking, tackling etc

Preuss again used as a marking target

I looked at Aaron Noetschke picture and his body has change remarkably from when he was recuited the muscle definition is that of a seasoned player

Any standouts?

They took the opportunity to build him whilst he was off legs

Really enjoying training with Nev and May

Trac and Clarry of course in the handball and the competition for small forward has got Spargo , Bedford, Chandler and Corey Wagner lifting the bar each session

Saty, could I ask how Weid is looking in his running? The photo's look good, but he had his hips done and a few places have said he'll be a late starter to full training. He certainly looks to have put on some decent size (despite the broken jaw!).

As you can see from the pic, he's getting there, has no issue with the running

Next the agility then they start the contact work

He's not far off

Thanks Saty. Aaron does say in this video (Sept 27 2019) that he plans to be there the first day of pre-season. He also says it will be the first pre-season he's commenced prior to Xmas. I wait with bated breath.

Trying to have faith, but this doesn't seem ideal.

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

After a stunning victory over the Saints in the first round of the Season the Demons head over to Perth to take on the Dockers who choked in their first match against the Cats. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
