Garlett? Maybe got the message a little late that he had been de-listed.

Why would Garlett be at the club today when he was delisted laat Monday??

I'd do 11, 13 and finlayson right now.

Can we share the love please? Article sounds interesting, providing it doesn’t mention we’re trading someone out.

It won't be Bobby Hill. Zac Langdon is not Ed's brother either.

Would only really want Hately, Caldwell, Bonar or Finlayson of that list. Maybe Langdon or Dnaiels.

I wanted Finlayson last year

very underrated in my view

With this split-pick / GWS-surplus scenario are we better placed if GWS lose this weekend? Early picks obviously yes, but what of the rest of the equation?

If GWS and Essendon both lose then they end up with picks 11 & 12 (as it stands now - will both be pushed out a couple). If both win then they'll get 13 & 14 if they go onto lose the week after, if one or both win and then keep wining they worst case is 17 & 18 if they are both in the granny - very very unlikely. Short answer, slightly better off if both lose but only by a pick.

Unless they keep winning.

Thanks, I can comfortably cheer the Doggies on. However, even the thought of cheering on the druggies makes me feel bilious.

Part of my question, probably not articulated well enough, was the impact on the rumoured FA Compensation; what the AFL may give to GWS, and how GWS would seek to use it.

The compensation GWS might get for Tomlinson (who is their only FA worth anything), won't be a factor in anything we do anyway. The talk above that we'd trade pick 3 for GWS's 2 first round picks and the compo are just wrong, we'd likely get the 2 picks and a player. GWS still need picks to pay for their academy kid so they'll be hanging onto any compo pick they get. I think it'll end up either 2nd round or end of 2nd round, so pick 32/33 at the earliest (with the PP and academy picks) or could be up to pick 40.

The good thing is there's an extra incentive to cheer against the druggies!

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
