When losing is the only way to win its not losing it is the way.

That is exactly what was said on here 10 years ago. We all know what happened

Don’t even consider planning any Strategy to lose. This club checks out far too many times already.

WIN THE LAST 2 GAMES.

Given our percentage we're not moving up with one win anyway.

If Carlton and Sydney can both beat St Kilda (doubtful, but possible) then we could win both games and still not move up from 17th.

My main concern if they did happen to win their last two games would be that it might lull the football department, players etc. into another false sense of security ahead of pre season and next season, and the opportunity to continue with the usual positive spin “We always believed in the game plan, we’re playing “the Melbourne way” with those last two wins of the season, launches us positively into next season, no need for a review, overhaul. rebuild, just need to tweak a few things” etc.

Not that I particularly want them to lose their last two games either, but at least that would leave the stark reality for all to see of so few wins for the season and keeps the heat on all concerned at the club to try to actually do something about it.

now lets just sit back and watch us win last 2 games to lose pick two in the draft, Melbourne are so predictable!  i know some posters will say we should aim to win, but im pretty sure Sydney will be tanking like theres no tomorrow!!!

If we beat Sydney the way we are travelling then they  certainly will be tanking, However we tank without realizing that we are tanking.

We are set in default mode.

I just want this season to be over and done with?

Once the siren sounds for the last match in two weeks time, the 2019 sticker will be ripped off my ute, never straight into the bin, as well as washing all my Demon gear. to rid the rid the stench of this s*#^ year.

You watch the likes of slobo, caro, and that purple twit?, say are the Dee's tanking?

So just ended please!

If they actually watched any of our games they'd realise we were just hopeless.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
