We beat GWS, Geelong, Hawthorn and West Coast who made the 8 last year.

Operations, Injuries and many players not having good pre seasons make a huge difference.

Brisbane had two players out of their total list unavailable for selection on the weekend. Remove five players from their team and see how much it impacts them.

Yes, we’ve had a really bad season, players injured, no confidence, and even recruits injured.

Most likely we end up bottom 4, we get a good draft pick, probably capable of playing firsts next year, get any operations out of the way early, pre season for team starts early, we get a good draw next year. Pick up someone with speed and someone who can crumb in the forward line, and 2020 we’re back in business.

2014-18 we improved each year, this ones a downer, but we can be in a position to go for top 4 in 2020.

We lost to Geelong twice during the home and away season. We lost to West Coast in the Preliminary final. I can’t recall whether Hawthorn or GWS were in the eight when we played them in the home and away season. But mostly we only beat teams below us or not in the eight.

Just thinking about the need for another rebuild is making me depressed.

We've been impacted far more by injuries than any other club both during the season and in the offseason. It's not as bad as it seems and we have a core group of players that will make us a very good side for a long time to come. We will also have some good trade currency this year and I'd expect us to be busy picking up some outside pace and x factor.  Keep the faith.

The club is too "nice" and I don't mean the players. Management need to fix their attitude first.

Sure we can rebuild but the club have to set the rules. What happened today to Max needs management kicking Gills door in for a please explain and not accept anything other than Daglish or whatever his name is to go back to the WAFL for the rest of the season.

We dont need a rebuild just a tinker. Where Melbourne has been bad is seeing the future. One should know where there list is three years in advance... they should have players developing in key positions before they are needed.

Also need a rebuild in the coaches box. They are too slow to try new things.

Not ALSO...but this is where you start !!

Dont...and we'll  be flushing careers (players) down the toilet .

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
