After the last couple of weeks I reckon he'll go to Grimes, he's been good at keeping McGovern and Carlise accountable and stopping them from getting too many intercept opportunities. Quiet remarkable that he's being doing these sort of roles at this point in his career. I also get the feeling it might be his last game Saturday night, one last dance under the bright lights at the G then settles into a coaching role.

reckon friday night at the g up against buddy in his 300th in round 22 will be his announced finale

Great having Jordan at the Club. It will be interesting as for mine he knows more about footy, teaching and leadership than Goody. Will Goody want him around?

Massive question, he will challenge Goody, is he big enough to cope with Lewis' thinking on the game?

Could be right about that, if Buddy is a chance to play again this season, I reckon the swans will put a line through him shortly.

you could be right.

Many lauded this deal for the Swans but it has been lineball. Could have been a lot worse I suppose.

Most justify it by saying that he brought in members.

Will be interesting to see where the Swans go ladder wise over the next few years.

I was 100% for sitting Jordie and playing the kids, but half the kids are on the shelf injured and the ones who are fit aren't ready to play seniors. He may as well play the season out before riding off into the sunset.

Lewis has been a good get for us, considering we traded Hawthorn picks 48 and 66 for picks 57, 68 and Lewis. Will go down as a win.

The dream scenario is that he can lure his mate the big Rough to come over as goal kicking coach

Freshen him up and hope to get Roughy to play a season or 2 for us Help us along the way and pick his brain at the same time. That would be a coup.

Anything but the status quo!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
