In the middle, I reckon the funny 'ears' are an exaggeration of the skiing gear (upturned collar etc) Goodwin wore at the MND freeze event last year!

That arms crossed 'your not getting past me mother [censored]' pose of Steven May is such a trademark.

Hopefully it's a pose that becomes symbolic and characteristic of the MFC's whole backline.
