The umpires need to beat the crowd

It's a good point and you'd like to think that with only 4 teams left, only the best umpires are now left, so could be good. However umpiring in the first two weeks of finals has been pretty terrible.

The ā€˜best’ 6 umpires are the only ones umpiring games from now on. Hopefully they’re less likely to be sucked in.Ā

I thought the umpires we had last game there did a pretty decent job.

If they go in with the objective of not being sucked in by the crowd then they are more likely to overcompensate and give us a good run.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
