Swans fans are about as good as you get as far as opposition supporters go..

Melbourne supporters who have no [censored] idea do my head in much more..

Come sit in the MCC during game day for a lesson in the basics..

GWS 'fans' in Canberra are the worst. Don't pay attention to the game, talk loudly about their legal jobs, don't know the players, like to gloat, have no idea what the club song is at the end,

Took all my might to stop BBO from eating them whole a couple of years ago. He was that angry.

You too could be an insufferable [censored] if your team made the finals every year.

My advice is to make sure you've got at least five rows before you and any other human.

Simple comeback to those types is how do they feel about a team from another city thay deserted them. They hate the concept and it just makes them angrier.

It can also apply to smartarse lions supporters when appropriate.  It doesnt matter for suns or gws as those teams are artifical constructs.

If youve ever spent considerable time in sydney you'll realize how irrelevant the club is in the greater scheme up there.

I’ve lived in Sydney since 1979 and can honestly say that the Swans have far more relevance here than clubs from any other code. They get bigger crowds, they have a winning culture that is admired by Sydney-siders and they are the reason that AFL now has strong support in the wider community at all levels.

That would be 70,000 members irrelevant with the ability to attracted the best players in the game? Mmmmmmm..............

60,900 members actually, only 15K more the us, in a monopoly market of 5.0 Million.

This mornings Sydney Morning Herald online has 21 rugby, , Union, Soccer and cricket articles until it hits the swans with a piece. I got sick of scrolling to get there.

Get the drift?

Mmmmm....?

My advice is to cut a vicious shoot promo on them.

Something similar to this.

BTW was this the type of promo you were worried that Jaka was going to cut on the Demonland podcast?

I'm afraid I don't get your drift at all... the SMH links directly to Real Footy.  It has the same articles as appear in The Age online news.  Oh, and if it's scrolling that bothers you, you actually have to scroll further to get to the NRL which is situated below the Sport section where the AFL news can be found.

As far as numbers go, it is NOT a monopoly market.  They share the AFL with GWS as well as competing with nine Sydney based NRL clubs, a number of Rugby Union clubs and soccer clubs. The fact that they have so many members is a reflection on just how well they are doing in a market that was once almost entirely owned by the NRL.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
