I think I would give Harmes a 9 or10 tonight 'Pick'...he beat Selwood up then did the job on Danger.

He's a tough kid and moving along nicely no matter what those who think he should be dropped every week say.

Nobody ever deserves a 0.

Omac was hung out to dry and still had the composure to take a good mark and kick the ball nicely to Trac with a minute left. He had no help on Hawkins. They should have put Frost or TMac on him one minute into the last quarter.

I am disappointed that I am yet to see Hogan ever stand up in big games. He is not a pressure player.

No because his teammates do not leave him out to dry. When they do, he takes dives and hits players while they’re down.

I thought Oscar was great tonight

he got no help from most of his team mates, apart from Jetta

Just a statistical take on tonight to compare (somewhat objectively lol) to yours PF.  Keep in mind Max would usually place higher as i can't factor in hit outs to advantage.  Harmes played a pretty tough lock down role so his rank is probably skewed as a result.  Clarry a furlong ahead of anyone else and nearly got us over the line with that performance tonight IMHO.....

Which part SW?  The ultimate role of a defender, especially a key one, is to defend and keep your opponent from scoring too often (ie., limit the damage). Struggles to hold the better key forwards in the comp when the question's asked.

Goody stuffed it in part by stubbornly refusing to move him off Hawkins earlier, but O-Mac has to accept part of the blame surely?

Hawkins is a huge man. You cannot expect OMac to match him. Hawkins is twice the size

He ran off him well

Goodwin f@&$ked up not OMac

Bit harsh on the players that got 4 they should have at least got 5. JKH and O.Mac deserve a 0 even Hogan deserves a 0.

I didn't think he ran off him in a damaging sense at all SW.  If he can't handle Hawkins one on one (keep the goal scoring to 3 to 4 max) or any other decent KPF then what is his role in the team?  Goody should therefore not  play him at all.  Would be better off playing Keilty or Pedders in his place and having Frost take the big boys from the get go.

Anyway, it's the same old same old at Demonland.  Whenever a chance to secure a sound spot in the Top 4 or 8 becons, we always blow it.  Still have a very soft under belly against the rated clubs.

he should never have played on him from the start.

MOVE PLAYERS AROUND

OSCAR CAN RUN.

USE IT

He's our full back but he not good enough to play there so he shouldn't be in the team. Frost can't be trusted should be on the second tall. Give Keilty a go at least he has some strength about him.

Jones a 4 is a joke.

Oscar and JKH scores are fair.

Our bottom six are NQR.

Agree. We finally have some players at, or stepping up to, elite level.

Sadly, our bottom six are absolute duds.

Scores for Jones, Milkshake and Brayshaw very harsh

Oscar was a lamb to bad coaching, not his fault, give Goodwin a 0 for that persistence

Rehabbing: Great to see Kentfield back (much slimmer), walking with Tholstrup, TMac (suspect just a management thing), Viney (still being cautious with that rib cartilage?), Melksham (

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
