Jake Melksham 150 games

Nathan Jones 100th game as captain (5th in the clubs history)

Angus Brayshaw 50 games.

Bernie Vince 100 Melbourne games??

(One day he'll belt out a few pups for the father son rule I am sure of it....)

Wasn't too long ago we were worried that Gus might not make it to 50 games.

Now I can't wait to see him play 200 in the red and blue.

Thanks Taylor and Viney.

We paid massive overs for both, if I remember the threads rightly. The Melksham trade was particularly a total writeoff because he’s a soft spud, and he spent the first year rubbed out so there was no way the future seasons he spent on the list could make up for that one lost one.

I just hope that the final score is in our favour, like when we ruined the after party for Corey Enright's 300 milestone game at the Cattery in 2015.  That will do very nicely thanks!

This weekend is a personal milestone for me in that it will be 200 weeks since I last drank alcohol.

I've told friends I'll have a beer when Melbourne wins the flag.   After such a long time off it, I think I'd be less of a two-pot screamer and more of a Cadbury's (a glass and a half) or even an Omo (less than a third of a cup).

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
