everyone keeps talking about gawn for the brownlow but sorry folks he is only on about 12 votes according to my calculation, Hogan 11 and clarry 10. Mitchell will be streaking the field, excluding the suspended and injured Fyfe.

Righto, guess that's that then.

Sat with the in laws today for wife's bday and had to listen to an exposition on how Grundie is better than Max. Fortunately wife's uncle has a brain and is a Demon and we both laughed .

i thought it was rather outrageous they enjoyed my expansive deck on a glorious winter's day whilst lobbing such ridiculous statements at me. The conversation quietened somewhat as the Pies weagles game progressed

One should always retain a select offcut of Merbau for such occasions. One whack across back of head normally suffices ;)

I understand.. my wife and 99% of her family are filth...a b-i-l ...worse...ex filth player...(I reserve a bit of 90x45 for him ;) )

It’s laughable to suggest that anyone is a better RUCKMAN than Gawn right now. Sure there are more effective talls, there are ruckman who get more touches and kick more goals, but nobody is better at rucking. The stats prove it. He has more hit outs to advantage per game than anyone, and that is after all the primary job of a ruckman.

Fritsch is brilliant. There was a moment in the 3rd or 4th where Fritsch was tackled and you could see that he had to re-adjust his kicking within it, because he knew he'd kick it nowhere if he threw it on the boot. Re-adjusted to kick it perfectly away from the tackle to a teammate. He took his time too, knew he had time in the tackle. Clearly with Fritsch, he understands that missing the teammate is a worst case scenario and he's trained his disposal as priority. Hit the man with a pass or don't bother.

Fritsch is a real footballer 'John'...so good to watch him play & he's going to get a whole lot better.

As for the game, I reckon that was a pretty convincing win after coming back from Darwin which has always been a tough ask in the past.

We were shite for so long that my belief is the “Darwin effect” was just an excuse for us not being able to win following week.

Sounds right

If we can win in darwin and win next week why not take the money?

I thought Fritsch showed a bit down back. Couple of decent marks and laser passes out of defensive 50. Could be handy.

He "shows a bit" wherever he plays. He has great composure and 'calmness' as well as excellent skills and awareness, but his versatility is becoming perhaps his greatest asset to the team.

It is true, my magnanimity  even in the face of such shocking abuses of my hospitality and flagrant disregard for polite behaviour, knows no bounds.

But then, matrimonial harmony is best underpinned by unending patience in the face of such abject disregard for the facts at hand - a condition not unknown amongst Collingwood supporters.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
