Geelong has suspended S. Johnson from the senior playing group indefinitely. All of his training will take place with the club's VFL squad under coach Leigh Tudor and he will not be invited back with the senior squad until such time as he proves that his attitude and behaviour have changed and that he is willing to be a responsible and contributing member of the club. Johnson's suspension from the senior group will be reviewed no sooner than the sixth round of the season.

In relation to the Eagles subject...Whoever makes those comments should really check their sources. I live in Perth and while all this talk is going on in Melbourne, nothing has been said here?? It's actually quite funny to hear the rumours etc I'm not saying the Eagles are angels, but I would like to know where this lady gets her info.

Despite the flack that she gets, Caro is a reasonable journo and wouldn't make such a claim without some pretty 'tight' sources.

Quite probably from the AFL's own Drug report from last year, leaked to Faifax papers and others, which named players, and for which the AFL successfully took out an injunction to prevent publication. That's a fairly good source IMO.

This was a serious leak and resulted in the AFL changing drug testing providers this week in an effort to tighten security on information.

BTW, I wonder if the day a Perth newspaper publishes a negative story about Worsfold and the team , is the day it goes out of business?

A bit like Collingwood being untochable by some Melb papers overhere.

Good point PGS. There was a story a short while ago in the Melb papers about the two team mentality, and how the Eagles through Worsfold use nothing less than fear and intimidation to bludgeon the journo's over there into printing only sweetness and light.
