MOORDITJ

It's a Noongar word, means strong/great. Jeffy and Nev are both Noongar

Found myself staring at the banner, and wondering what on earth it meant.  Thanks for the explanation.  Nice!  (And, long may it fly!)

Thought it was an anagram.

It's on the back of my shirt, when I found out that you could personalise a shirt asked Nev and Jeffy for a word, Nev said he wanted Moorditj

Got the same word in both JKH's and Dion Johnstone's language  wriiten on front along with the 4 signatures   fan boy    Cheer Squad know all about it so assume the banner came from there.

See my Instagram or Twiter feed Demonpk for a cool photo before the game  and yes all 3 were Moorditj today

I was putting all players names together for half an hour... so thanks for this thread.

Well deserved 100 Games to a bloke who has shown class all the time.

Blast from the past I know, but at the Freo game with in-laws and noticed they’re using this ohrase on their handheld flags. Curious as to whether they picked this one up from the Demon Army as I’ve never seen it before.

I’ve heard quite a fair few local Noongar kids use the word, never seen it used on flags etc at the footy but to be honest I’ve never taken that much notice.
