That was before the finals.  They lost in straight sets and finished 5th and had pick 14 to prove it.  Next you'll be telling me the Dogs finished 7th?

The deal was sealed before Hawks backfliped after unprecedented board intervention (AKA Dee's 2012).

Pressure definitely building on them to perform a second backflip, not sure you can keep a player who doesn't want to be there.

Rumour is the deal is already done for Lewis to come to us, not sure if the source is accurate but lets wait & see.

Yes

What source?

Allegedly a two year contract was agreed too by MFC and Lewis, and

HFC and MFC had agreed on our third round pick

Hawks have now changed their minds

The trade as previously agreed in my view is cheap...... even considering he is 30!

We will see.... but my confidence is increasing.

2nd hand, but has some form. Won't guarantee it but as I say lets see.

Heard this about an hour ago....some kind of pick and player trade.

Lol. I'm calling the cops, there's a clown loose...

Mitchell, Vickery and O'Meara in too... Hard to gauge, but wouldn't think they'd miss the 8 after finishing 3rd

They were one non-65m Fitzy goal from 7th lol

I love this if it happens. He will bring much on and off-field and the belief his defection will bring to the back of our players minds will serve them well.

Ok, I'm about to get sacked, anyone else getting any work done? Which player is involved from us in this proposed trade?

And one 30m Smith goal from top 4... (If you're talking post-finals ladder, who does that?)

I know it's very hard for you Stuie but "Sorry I was wrong"  will do your personal growth a world of good,

None it's only a draft pick at this stage...

It will be up to Lewis forcing HFCs hand.

Otherwise we get him as a free agent next year

Todd Viney - the gift that keeps on giving:  " It's understood Lewis' link to the Demons stemmed from a strong relationship with former Hawks assistant and now Melbourne player personnel manager Todd Viney. Lewis mentored Viney's son, and now Demons star Jack Viney during Jack's days playing in the TAC Cup:  . http://www.theage.com.au/afl/hawthorn-hawks/afl-trades-2016-hawthorn-say-jordan-lewis-wants-to-stay-despite-melbourne-hopes-20161014-gs2lnm.html

Its almost like Lewis is one of the Dees family!

Sorry, misunderstood the some kind of pick and player trade statement.

Incomplete sentence.

Yeah. This season was utterly bizarre, considering round 23 decided where 1-7 would finish

The rumour is pick or picks and player trade, not simply a pick for Lewis...

There is a clear and present danger that Hawthorn are flipping this deal to get overs, now that its becoming more likely. I hope we're not too desperate.

Well let's give O'meara to TWSNBN....

I get the impression that the deal will happen, but the Hawks (in particular Graham Wright) are trying to turn the deal so it looks like Lewis has done the wrong thing by them. Doubt they'll be able to do that, but the Hawks are all about trying to save face on this before they'll allow the trade.

We've all been here before.

We had to learn how to get over our hatred of Gary Moorcroft during his memorable 4 game stint at the club, circa 2003.

Still hated that [censored] when he played for us.

Yup, but i strongly suspect Pickering and Lewis are leaking quite a lot of this to put pressure on the club, clearly there is quite a lot of bad blood starting to emerge which is a shame when you consider Lewis is nothing short of a Hawthorn legend.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
