Good pick up ET!

Maybe Pro Dee could no longer cope with having Jack Watts as his moniker! :o

Got through 17 games this year, but only 1 at AFL level.

Missed 4 games this year with an ankle. Missed a season and a half with an ACL up until late 2015 but played well in a couple of games late that year.

Not sure either of those injuries will be long term though. The long term one was his hip.

If the hip is fine then there's still the chance that he keeps getting injured based on just being one of those guys/based on one injury leading in to another, but as long as his hip is fine then I'd have no problem giving him a shot.

So was Kreuzer last year. Hip.  we missed out there.

Walk Away....

We're looking for a cheap fillip, to tide us over as our young ones mature.  Trouble is many clubs are looking as well.

Taking an untried 18 y.o. ruck through the draft would be an even bigger roll of the dice.

For what it would cost us, surely worth the punt.

We need 2 of them.  A 22 something from another club, who wants to come home.

And we need a mature tried & tested follower type, but whom has injuries, or hasn't the opportunities they would like, that won't cost us valuable draft picks.

Yeah i get that. But a Ruckman/Fwd who has bad hips aint going to be much use.

Not really a response, but I discovered this gif a while back and can't find a damn use for it, so I'm just gonna tag you and post it anyway.

Also, uh, Nathan Vardy is good at footballing but his injuries are unlikely to allow him to continually football well*

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
