Decent Crowd?

Biggest for the year. Still room on the fence though.

Dogs player has gone down, stretcher is out. Matt Jones got to him - put his hand up and stopped the game (good work Matty). Looks like the Dogs player is going to be out for a long, long time. Still no word on who it is.

Clutched at his knee straight away on landing in the marking contest doesn't look good at all

Cool. September atmosphere

"That's holding the ball. It was Colin Garland. I think he forgot he was Colin Garland."

Dunn to Terlich to White to Scott to Weid to ANB. ANB lining up and doesnt make the distance. We are 2 points down.

Mark Austin according to Casey Radio. He is the Dogs VC. Knee or leg. Not good at all.

Oh and Terls with another behind. 0.3 and 1 out on the full.

ALOYSIO FERREIRA with the pass to Grimes and goal.

The Casey boys are making fun of Terlich as he gives away a downfield free.

Oh wait. No. It cant be. He's done it. He's kicked a goal! Dean Terlich! Could be having a blinder, but he is not.

Spoke to Macca at the game. He is confident we can settle and get back on top. Says the boys panicked because it's finals. They just need to get out there and play as normal.

They already look more composed this qtr. Much more playing on and kicking cleanly up field to more free Scorps players.

Another goal assist to the great man Terlich as weed goals from a good mark

Weiderman kicks the goal. He's been in things but not as a dominant forward. Kind of like what he was doing at AFL level - being used as a link man.

The issue we are having is they are stopping Garland and Dunn's uncontested possessions which set us up. They are being well coached at the moment and we need to adjust.

The Weed gets his first in a final for Casey.

Casey Scorpions 7.6.48 to Footscray Bulldogs 6.4.40

Goals Grimes McInerney Oliver Scott Terlich Weideman White

Disposals M Jones 17 Neal-Bullen 15 Michie 14

Holy hell, Essendon not only made the finals but are leading Geelong in the EF? Casey absolutely destroyed them.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.

The Demons were sloppy all day and could not stop the run and carry of the fast moving Hawthorn as the Hawks cruised to an easy 36 point win. Is the season over yet?
