Article on the AFL site suggests he might come back into coaching. Pies appear to be front runners but we are in the running. Obviously once Goodwin steps up into the big job we will need another senior assistant. Thoughts?

Collingwood bound.
Wouldn't even bother asking the question.

Without knowing any details. An assistant role at Melbourne next year would seem more appealing than one at Collingwood. The two clubs are heading in very contrasting trajectories.

That's a strange assumption to make lol Collingwood might have offered him twice as much money?

That's why I said without knowing any details. Purely on a club by club Melbourne look like they're heading upwards and Buckley is coaching for his career next season. Head coach gets sacked and guess what happens to his assistants.

We need a specialist forward coach

Our players have no idea how to structure and defend in the forward line

Don't think Bernie Vince would agree with him coming to the club..

He was at Pies when Malthouse was coach and Bucks took over wasn't he, before the Crows gig?

No, he was going to be, but got the Adelaide head coaching gig.

Ah right thought Bucks said last Friday night he was one of the coaches they lost. I am slightly deaf in my right ear :)

Well he was but only because he was lined up to join their staff, but he wasn't already there.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
