So did you believe $cully when he spoke down the barrel of the camera telling us that he wanted to be a one club player?

(example of the prepared statement)

did you believe Jake Carlisle on the boundry line last year when he let his feelings be known??

a simple Yes or No answer will suffice....

the scenario with McCarthy is very similar, so i haven't missed your point Stuie

SWYL, honestly mate, I'm not having a crack at you here, but let's just say we're not connecting with what each other is saying.

My whole point is McCarthy very well could have been saying something but thinking something else (just like Scully). That's why I'm disagreeing with those using an official club interview with him as evidence to say he was completely happy there.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to argue now.

I am saying the prepared statement is Complete Bullshite most times.

Jake Carlisle was brutally honest & so both scenarios are very similar.

I have no sympathy for McCarthy at all, as he has used a crutch to break a contract, no doubt he will be in a Shocker Jumper next year.

Similarly with Mitch Clark he used the black dog to break a contract and get another one. Mitch has made a lot of money playing a very small amount of games.

He had a lot of me time to make wedding videos.

I wonder how McCarthy will keep himself busy now his anxiety attacks  will ease up dramatically...?

Mate, that's what I've been saying the whole time re: prepared statements. You've been arguing with me on the point I was actually making. We're in the same camp there.

The rest of your post however is typical of you. Everything is a conspiracy and everyone is up to no good but you. Unless you happen to be the doctor/psychiatrist/psychologist for both of those players then you really have no idea what you're talking about and saying they're both lying about their mental health issues is a typical sniper effort by you.

IF it comes out one day both lied, then I will join you in condemnation, but at this stage there has been NO evidence to suggest either have so I will not join you in laying the boots into guys who are already down.

Not asking you to lay the boots into anyone. The players are now doing it to clubs. We just pay them...

Chook fowler if following scenairo occurs:- politicians decide to deem themselves having mental health issues knowingly that they are going to get kick out office and hence getting compensation from the public would you consider that fair? If you are made redundant or cannot find work for a long time I can understand that you could end up with mental health issues. However you cannot sue your recent employer. Why are footballers any different than anyone else? I am not driving the problem underground,Cam would go into the system like everyone else who is suffering from the same sort of problem. Footballers are not demi gods.

By the way chook fowler where did you think some of the money comes to pay out Mitch Clark for his so called mental health issue? Gaming machines, some people has lost their homes, families and jobs, they have also developed mental health issues themselves but no compensation from the MFC of course. Pschology is not a real science and sometimes cannot be proven to be accurate.

FMD!! I reckon poor old chook will fluck   pluck himself when he reads this!!

I agree ENYAW.

That's quite a rant ENYAW. I can't remember saying anything in this thread about Mitch Clark because there are many differences in his situation to that of McCarthy. I also fail to recall where I advocated gambling and how it is relevant to this issue. As to psychology being not a real discipline you must be taking the [censored]. You obviously have one big chip on your shoulder.

I don't know why people keep bringing this up. You can't simply declare yourself to have a serious mental health issue any more than you can declare that you have cancer or a serious heart problem.

These are all medical conditions, mental or not, and can be diagnosed as such.

Yes, but there are those who refuse to accept such diagnosis... am I right on that count ENYAW?

I think you should give yourself one of your own floggings BBO.

I presume you're talking about psychology, and there are plenty of places on the net where you can take it up, and plenty of people who will disagree with you.

However, areas such as neurology and neuropsychology are definitely scientific areas of study, and there are a range of mental health conditions where there are real, observable, changes in the physical structure of the brain and in the way it operates.

Once again, on the level of a serious mental health issue, this has nothing to do with "I'm having a bad day".

I have just had to change my continence aid.

Agree with sywl.  Has Cam so called anxiety been confirmed by a neurologist  ( neurology is a true science ). Manipulation is a form of psyschology, governments use it to obtain the desired outcomes that they want. Cam and Mitch are also using it to reach their desired outcome.Let just keep paying players for not playing matches!!!!!!!!!

Not quite true....You can if you work for the Health Services Union or the Fair Work Commission...

Or if you are about to be called by a Royal Commission...hmmm let me think if there are others. Oh yeah, I don't like the footy club contract I signed a year ago.....

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
