2013. Now 2014 - The way we were

Featured Replies

I started taking pics of the dees @ pre season 3 years ago. I'm interstate with work again at the moment so can't get to the paddock this week. I thought I'd revisit the year I started. Enjoy.

The following year 2014. Watch out for a young AFL Academy attendee Gus Brayshaw.

It's hard to grasp how we didn't push for a top 8 spot that season with those genuine match winners lining up in Sellars, Nicholson, Evans, Strauss, McKenzie, Blease and Rodan in the squad. Yuk

It's amazing to see how much of the list has been trimmed removing some dead wood.

Those remaining on our list from 2009:

  • Jones
  • Watts
  • Trengove
  • Gawn
  • Dunn
  • Garland
  • Grimes
  • Spencer
  • Jetta.

Yikes. Up to 4 or 5 of them could go at EOS next year too.

There's only 10 players left from the 2011 list ... add T-Mac to your above list.

We've seen a lot of players come and go over the years but this year more than ever I've really noticed it.  I'm not sure why but this list goes a long way to explaining it.

Such average players. Neeld didn't have a chance. Add to that tapscott, Byrnes, sylvia, m jones, tagart, Joel Mac, Barry

the list goes on. Hindsight is a great thing. I don't remember if u think we were so bad at the time.
