After the last decade I have zero confidence that the MFC can win when expected.

No AFL level player is soft in the true sense of the word, but if you put Jack Watts at one end of the spectrum, and Glenn Archer at the other - Heppell is a lot closer to Watts' end. Doesn't mean he can't play, but I don't think the conditions will suit him.

Ive never seen Heppell shirk it tho he gives 110% all game. The extra 10% comes from unknown drugs.

Of the six forwards you mentioned, Howe has been named in the back pocket. Personally, if Howe is to stay in the side only to play in the back pocket, I would have preferred to drop him in preference to Toumpas.

Pretty sure Heppell has played well in the wet before.

Goddard is the one who usually doesn't do as well in the wet.
