I consume every video the club puts up on the website, & particularly enjoy the post-match presser. But does anyone else watch the Dave Misson injury update each week & get the distinct impression it's the absolute worst part of Misso's week?! This look is always on his face like 'Gawd, not this crap again', whilst Matt Burgan takes on somewhat of a Stevo-with-Malthouse-like trepidation to every question.

Then when Burgan asks him about Trengove & Petracca's progress, it's the ultimate low-point for ol' mate Dave... "AGAIN, no different to last week. They're doing stuff but they're ages away. I'll let you know when anything changes Burgo!"

I just take him (Misson) as not being much of a "smiler".

My wife feels sorry for Matty B. Thinks he needs a haircut, shave and she is worried he only owns one check shirt, which is in good need of an iron anyway. I ask her why she doesn't take as good care of me. I'll leave you to guess what response I get.

He is looking bad these days. You'd think someone with their gob on screen so much would take more of an effort with their appearance.

Like most of his work though apart from that.

Burgo is a great writer....... That is all.

Although I think he does a good job, I'd like to see more presenters on the website and not just Bergs.

Clearly the shirt is the admin uniform, given Mahoney is always wearing the same style. Chances are they own a few of the same thing.

(Nb. NOt sure if your taking the pizz, but I've seen his shirt mentioned a couple of times on here).

Injury reports are nine tenths BS.

I have thought this for many years.

They are designed to give nothing away to our competitors and keep supporters happy.

I have no idea how you achieve both objectives.

I never watch them what is to be gained.

On the subject of Burgo I think he does a reasonable job of what must be close to the hardest job at the MFC.

How do you come up with positive stories when the Team is crap for years on end?

Misson should grow up and realise there are thousands of supporters out there, including me, who would like even just a shred of insight in to what's happening with the players. Burgo is just doing his job.

His annoyance at it is obvious, and it makes him come off as a complete [censored].

At the risk of upsetting you we will win the flag before that happens

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
