    Agreed. Very entertaining read. Loved this line...

    Honest, brutal and very, very funny. So many great parts that it seems a shame to highlight just one. But I'll do that anyway.

    Garlett's game was a joy - he plays like somebody driving at 200km/h on a wet road with the same mix of near disaster and thrilling edge-of-your-seat moments. He looked nervous early on, and that first set shot was a shambles, but as he started to chill out and enjoy himself The Big Steal from Carlton started to look even more like the deal of the 21st century. How good was his goal straight out of the middle after we'd just conceded one? It's usually us who have an almighty struggle to get one goal on the board then hand it back 13 seconds later - what divine glory it was to see it happen the other way for once.

    Best football writer in the game. You need 20 minutes to read his reviews but they always are shot on and sum up being a Melbourne supporter perfectly.

    His review of the smashing by Essendon at night a few years ago (round 2, 2013) is one of the best I've read.

    And I just realised that team only had 8 payers who played this Saturday. Amazing list turn around.

      The Demons 2026 AFL Fixture is as good as can be expected considering their performances and finishes the past two seasons. Sunday games and late afternoon starts are on the menu with only 1 Friday night fixture until Round 15. They will travel 8 times including their home game in the Alice, their Gather Round game as well as a match against the Hawks in Tasmania. They will face, the Bombers, Bulldogs, the Suns, the Tigers, the Hawks and the Dockers twice.

    • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

      Melbourne returned to its city citadel, IKON Park, boasting a 10–2 home record and celebrating its 100th AFLW matchwith 3,711 fans creating a finals atmosphere. But in a repeat of Round 11, Brisbane proved too strong, too fit, and too relentless.  They brought their kicking boots: 9 goals, 2 points.
