Casey Scorpions v Box Hill Hawks @ Casey Fields

Featured Replies

Like I said on another thread Kent is either:

a) Disciplined from Perth trip

b) Has Family reasons (bereavement etc)

c) Seriously ill and club don't want to talk about it (unlikely though as there's no reason to hide things)

d) Injured - but unlikely for same reason as point C.

and a b and c are still wrong, you need to look at the club website, there has been a video there since yesterday, he has a badly bruised heel

Three quarter time and Scorps lead 8.2.50 to 3.7.25.

Justin Plapp telling the players that they were in a position to win and shouldn't give away the initiative. Show the opposition that we want to win. The team's style of play is very pleasing and far more direct than last year.

Anyone else able to give an update on Kent?

yep, it's an upper middle class county south east of london

Thanks mate, that clarifies it. Dunno what these other guys are talking about.

Goal - I think to Pedo and the Scorpions lead 62-26.

Hopefully Pedo can bring this form into the seniors.

KC is Stretch actually playing?

Yes, he is but he's not really getting into the tempo of the game. He's playing on a wing and is struggling a bit today.

Frist real hit out after sitting out last week, you can tell Pedo has already had a run

A more accurate Casey Scorpions win their first practice match of the season by 20 points - 10.2.62 to Box Hill Hawks 5.12.42. Cameron Pedersen the best for the Scorps.

The same Freo bast*rd that trod on Hogan must have got Kent as well!

Genuine laugh right there, daisycutter. In the words of the English comedy series "very droll, Prime Minister, very droll"!!!

Thought Casey's style of play today was a huge improvement on the past couple of years which frankly, was very frustrating, indirect and hard to watch. Today there was a much greater emphasis on moving the ball quickly and a lot less pointless backwards movement. Guess credit must go to the new coach.

Agreed with KC that Cam Pederson was probably our best player and 3 goals was good reward. Of the others, Brayshaw, although not a flashy type was good all match. Stretch had a couple of good runs along the wing. Considering Casey only had 7 Demons compared to Box Hill having about a dozen Hawthorn players it was quite a meritorious victory.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
