This is from the MRP:

"Contact between the Sydney Swans’ Lance Franklin and Gold Coast’s Clay Cameron from the second quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. Cameron has the ball and is preparing to kick when Franklin comes towards him. As the Gold Coast player disposes of the ball, Franklin meets him with a bump. A free kick downfield was paid at the time for the high contact and it was the view of the panel that the high contact in the bump was below the force required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was required."

Franklin didn't even get cited.

don't disagree with the inconsistency of the mrp clint

just pointing out nev would have escaped suspension if he had no priors in last 12 mths (in case you didn't realise}

Hang on, a few weeks ago Goodes and Franklin got off because there was no injury to their opponents did they not? Was the Western Bulldogs player injured?

Here is the Franklin bump, it's just the inconsistency that I do not understand.

Inconsistency?? How about systemic corruption??

Yeah both of Morris' were "negligent" but Jettas was "reckless" can someone else explain why?

He jumped (almost kind of a little bit maybe) is why. Just slightly getting off the ground makes it reckless and that is may have been slightly later than Morris'.

Unfortunately Nev isn't 6 inches taller and kicks goals in an expansion market.

Perfect example was Matt Thompson on the AFL.com MRP video describe the Beams incident as "we can't have people missing the brownlow for that can we?"

The suggest was anyone else would have got weeks but nota big name player in the running for the Brownlow.

Now I always thought the Brownlow was for best and fairest. If at some point during the season you punch someone in the guts on purpose you aren't worthy of a Brownlow.

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
