Errors on the sign up for new membership

Featured Replies

Errors on the sign up for new membership to the Melbournefc via "My Demon Account" and the MFC website.

Maybe some perceive as a 'minor point' but I want to sign up to a membership, yet I'm getting errors...

between the "Hello! Welcome to the Melbourne Football Club AccountManager" to "Create an account'.

Hopefully it's because of 'traffic' going through the roof! Alas sitting here wondering why I can't process a membership / pay my $$$ to support the team.

Any ideas?

Trying the Chrome browser...

(some time later)

Mmm... Sadly NO. Same error appearing after using Apple Safari & Google Chrome :(

Don't worry I'll call the club direct :)

Thanks for your response

Think it's a technical error between the MFC server & ticketmaster servers.

Again, will call the club direct :)

Aside, interesting how Roos is prompting sales :) Well done PJ.

Just sign up for Demon for life and avoid the future problems. :)

Haven't visited the site to check the latest membership until tonight 26, 641.

That sounds pretty good.

Has that made a jump in the past week?

Just a note to anyone experiencing issues in signing up for a membership - the club acknowledge issues involving the ticketmaster website (and the Online sign up process).

As dees189227 suggest, best to call the club direct.

(Sometime later) and will have to wait for a return call from the club as they announce... their having some issues in membership sign up.

Alas can't wait to join the 'paid' demon faithful.

Go Dees ;)

I was helping my Dad sign up yesterday and the site wasn't allowing him to create an account as it said his email was invalid. I ended up just using my gmail account for his membership and all was good.

For the record, he is one of the "lost" members that PJ was referring to that has come back thanks to Paul Roos (and my incessant nagging).

Well done GTG and PR!!

Dedicated Demon payments is the way to go.

I haven't even noticed the payments coming out of my account for years and I don't have to worry about renewing every year.

Saves having to make one big payment as well which always hurts the budget.

Hi all. Thought I'd bump this thread rather than start another one. My wife and I renewed our memberships just before the Richmond game and still haven't received them. Before I hound the membership department I just wanted to see if anyone on here signed up that evening and if you've received your pack yet?

Ta.

Have had a bit to do wih Ticketmaster. The website for all afl club memberships stink.

Ring up its much easier, The staff are quite nice.

I have had a number of contacts with MFC staff over the last year and have had good results.

Pity some other areas of the MFC are not as good.

God only knows how they stay so cheerful surrounded by the misery that has been the MFC.

Hey mate. I also renewed the day before our first NAB cup and haven't recieved anything yet...from memory it took a while last year too. Will probably chase them at the end of the week if still no sign.

Brilliant. That's actually exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks for that.

I was having the same issue through the website when trying to sign up my nephew. I called the club and they sorted it out over the phone. The girl I spoke to was on auto pilot thought because I clearly stated that I wanted to sign up my 6 month old nephew and the next question was "was he a member last year?" :)

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
