Below are the coaches that qualified for the DT "Tridents League" for 2014

I'll change my name from "YDE" to "Dawes Open" if thats alright? just so its the same in both SC and dreamteam

Captain TrenGrimes also confirmed - and similarly planning on a name change (for obvious reasons)

Well It looks like team name is now Captain Grones...

I'm keen to join (was in sc last year) the redlegs DT if a spot is open.

Team name: The Phoenix

Thats fine. Choose whatever name you want. As requested in previous posts, just post your name change in here. (as you have done)

I'll update the database as we go, with names changes , confirmations coming in, and new requests to join one of the leagues.

If there's room in any of the competitions then I'd like to join.

My name last year was Demonland.

You should be able to use your original name, afaik it allows for coaches with the same name. You could change the "o" in demonland to a zero.

Dem0nland.

I've only ever used the AFL DT site. Will the total availabale trades be the same? I like the idea of 30 maximum trades as opposed to 2 each week - it makes for a more difficult strategy.

Also, what are the prizes with the VS comp?

ATM I am favouring Virtual Sports web site. Unless there is an outcry from existing coaches VS might be the way to go. They started DT and I cant see any reason (YET) why they would mess it up. The prizes look good. I'll wait until they open their site and see their layout etc. I'll register our leagues with them once its officially gets under way on Friday. We have 3 leagues registered with AFL Fantasy, so the options are open for suggestions.

All I can suggest at this stage is for everyone to compare the 2 sites. You can play both, but our comp will be on one or the other.

Virtual Sports have the knowledge and the experience in running fantasy footy. I have registered with both so to keep my options open.

In the meantime keep the confirmations and requests rolling in. The database is being updated with every request.

All I can suggest you do for now is register with AFL Fantasy and Virtual Sports Dream Team. You can select your players etc while we come to a conclusion what site is most popular. From that you play both during the year or just go with the one we decide to use.

You have been added to the list. What league you will end up in will be decided in due course but you will notified.

The AFL and VS had to throw us a curve ball, if it wasnt hard enough setting up and organising the players in their allocated leagues. I'm still undecided to what looks better. I'll just go on popular choice. If that doesn't work, I'll have to make an executive descision. All I can say is there are 3 leagues setup on both AFL Fantasty and 3 leagues setup on VS Dream Team. That part of it is ready to go. I cant send invites out yet until a descision what one to use is made.

A couple of years ago it was - WattsGreen&Grimey?

Confirming Goobers.

Put me down for a VS vote as well. It's harder.

Very unhappy about the split in DreamTeam :(

I will end up playing both and wasting even more time each week.

Put me down as a vote for VS though.
It's a better game, and better prizes.

I have just signed up for something some where, I am hoping that it is here. Team name Runamuck.

Ps I was in a Demonand team last year

Deevoted, maybe include a poll to figure out which comp we run with. Give it a week or so for a reasonable sample?

At the moment I'm in two leagues in the AFL comp so would probably prefer that now due to a pretty hectic job at times.

If there's any spots left i'd love to be involved.

Team name: Maestro's Devils

I gave the poll option some thought but the poll needs to be restricted to DT coaches.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
